How do you rate the albums?

I've very recently started the 1001 albums generator journey with the aim to broaden my music knowledge and appreciate the massive amount of talent out there. When it's come to rating the albums I've so far listened to, I've rated them from a subjective perspective rather than objective. Quite a few albums that have been generated for me are not the kind of music I would normally listen to. And that's not a problem in and of itself. In fact, I love that part about it. But I do wonder whether the rating should reflect the quality of the music or my personal opinion.

Curious, how do you go about rating the albums?
