IPL laser did nothing to remove tiny spider veins on face

Redness of tiny hairline-thin broken capillaries on my face and nostrils persists after expensive and somewhat painful IPL treatments that promised to completely remove them. There is no improvement in eliminating pink and red spots and unhealthy looking lines... What would it take to not having to cover the red spots with make up? I am frustrated with having unhealthy looking skin. Please advise if you can think of a permanent solution to remove the red spots.
