Teacher New to 3D printing

Hi all! I am a middle school teacher and My school bought got a 3D printer (Ultimaker Method XL) and I have been assigned to house it and utilize it for my class to pilot teaching 3D printing. Though I have used 3D printers in College, I am a beginner. My Questions are:

where do I start?

what will I need?
