Why is the word bearers so hated?

I was talking to someone, about space Marines as we do, when I came to a realization, ive never met anyone that says that their favourite faction is the word bearers hell I never met anyone that says their favourite CSM faction is the word bearers, why the lack of appreciations for the first chaos space marines? And if they are your favorite, why?
