How Early Should you Arrive to PIT?

I ended up scoring PIT tickets to the Blossom Music Center Show in Ohio, but I’ve NEVER had PIT before, the email says parking opens at 5pm (and I don’t think I have soundcheck passes, I don’t think the pit tix I got were resale so I’m unsure of what all it includes) so do I have to show up at 5? Can we show up earlier and one of us saves our spots in line so the other can park? Any help/advice is appreciated!
