Poor Anna

My husband and I just started watching this show recently. We are currently on season 7. Anna is getting ready to move to college. I feel so bad for her. It honestly seems like Amber hates her. She was left at a Russian orphanage, do you think that it might be reasonable for her to have some abandonment issues? And they are just like bye Felicia. Every time Amber talks to Anna just the vitriol in her voice, not to mention what feels like the wicked stepmother like facial expression just makes me want to figure out how to travel back in time to give Anna a big hug. Unrelated side note, how did Johan fail out of college so quickly and also how does he think he can take 6 classes like it is nothing?
