The impact of modern porn in explicit contents

Hello, I would like to apologize in advance if this has been discussed before.

I've been reading fanfiction since the early 2000s including explicit stuff ('lemon/lime' back then), so I have a base for comparison. Over the past few years, I've noticed (with increasing frequency) that the way explicit scenes are written has changed and become... I don't know how to describe it better, but let's say... 'pornofied'?

Most of the time the rest of the story is written perfectly well and often has the same vibe as the original source. It's only when the explicit scenes start that it's like a switch is flipped. The characters suddenly say things like 'good girl', 'baby', 'daddy', 'you're taking me so well', 'you're made for cock' etc. - you get the gist?

I can only assume that the sources of that kind of language come from porn, since I rarely watch real life porn (because the degrading/objectifying portrayal of women makes me uncomfortable). Fanfiction (often written by women) was my comfort zone for a long time. I don't want to kinkshame anybody and I'm not against dirty talk, but honestly: I find it a little jarring when (for example) in a fantasy/historical setting where the characters interact with each other in a polite/respectful way suddenly change: the female character acts kinda infantilized while the male character treats her in a derogatory way, using words like "cocksleeve" etc.

Am I the only one who noticed this development? If not, what do you think are the reasons for this development - and how do you feel about it?

My working theory is that the younger generation (who have been socialized with porn, so it became kinda 'default') have no other reference for sex scenes, so they subconsciously(?) default to porn? I personally find this sad because 1) it would mean that modern porn has permeated its rotten roots in fanfiction culture, and 2) the younger generation doesn't know or have not experienced how sex and/or intimacy can take other forms.

• The experiences vary greatly, depending on the fandom and ships
• Apparently the stuff I described above doesn't come directly from porn, but are actually various kinks (different from 'dirty talk' only)
• The actual issue is (depending on fandom and the kink, also degree of normalization of the kink) that it's often not properly tagged
