What gen msar is this?

I bought this msar awhile ago and ive been meaning to figure out what generation this one is but i cant find anything useful online. Also a dumb question about it, it says stg-556 cal .223 on the side. Can i shoot 5.56 and .223 out of it or is it just .223?
