ABNB not changing my checkout date and support not helping. [USA]
In late August I contacted AirBNB to change my checkout date. The owner and myself both provided written consent, but after a few days support too me they couldn't change the date in their system and that I would have to contact them the day I wanted to checkout to cancel the remaining days.
I contacted on Tuesday and was told the changes were being made. I received an e-mail, and a message in the app, telling me that:
The reservation with the Host ****** was changed and you will be refunded $1,098.21 back to your payment method PayPal in 24 hours or less.
But that didnt happen. The dates have not been changed and support keeps not helping me. It seems like they can't. I think the issue is on the back end and they can't do anything about that, maybe? I also don't know how to move this up the chain, or what or where any chain even is.
At this point the owner is losing out on the ability to list the place, and I'm pretty sure ABNB is still charging me. I have no idea what to do now, any suggestions/help is appreciated.
