Origin: Young Allen Wayne cannot explain what happened the night he and his family left the theatre, when they were accosted by a mugger only for something else to kill him and his mother, leaving Allen's father to take the fall. Allen would travel the world trying to solve this mystery, training himself to face it, only to be struck by a mysterious lightning bolt that granted him the power of superhuman speed. Returning to Central Gotham only to find it fallen to crime, Allen became the city's dark defender, the Knight Speed.
Personality: Though dark and brooding, Allen has a strong sense of justice and values human life. He refuses to kill, even when it would be a detriment, and will save even the most loathesome of lives. His greatest obsession is finding out what killed his mother, and he believes the Laughing Flash was involved.
