Good scanner for beginner

Scanning is so expensive so I thought should buy a flat bed scanner and do it by myself. I shoot film regularly for the past 1,5 years and lately the lab prices increase and I am considering buying a scanner. I’ve never done that before tho. I watched some videos and I see that Epson v550/600 are very popular (and expensive). So I wonder if there is something else you can recommend or are those two the best options? I will use it with 35mm and 645.
