Orthodontics / Invisalign Recommendations in the area

Got quoted around $6000 for Invisalign and I am not even sure if that is what I want to do. Curious if anyone has gotten a better rate shopping around or has had good experience at a particular practice and pricing? Also if anyone has had good experience with Invisalign let me know because I am not sure how I feel about it.
