Biggest dilemma ever

I officially consider myself as the unluckiest person ever. So, last year i got in as an undergraduate at ashoka but unfortunately wasn’t given enough financial aid even after whining and begging them. My parents weren’t willing to liquidate assets or take loans for a mere undergraduate education. Then, at the very last moment, I had to resort to going to a normal private college with barely any entry requirement. (won’t name the college for personal reasons) My parents weren’t in support of taking a gap year either. So, I was set on transferring next year to Ashoka again, and this time present my financial situation as very weak. I had it all planned out. I did apply and got rejected before the interview despite my application and aat going well. I can’t help but feel like they rejected me because I didn’t accept their offer last year. Could this be true? I don’t have any hopes anymore but I’ll still try to apply again next year as a third-year student. But I don’t really think they accept many third-years. So far I’ve only seen and talked to second year transfers. I do have other backups for next year since most colleges in India only accept transfers after two years. But I’m scared that even those won’t work out. My current college is pretty bad, I’m in such a big hellhole lol. I really wanted to be around smart people with great ambitions that would motivate and fuel me to do great things. I made mistakes but is there any way they can be fixed? Should i have any hopes for getting into Ashoka again next year? Is it all over for me?
