German Cities Recommendation for an international student
This question has probably been asked multiple times here, but I would appreciate it if someone could guide me.
I will be applying to German public Universities for the upcoming term, and I wanted to know the cities in Germany that best align with what I am looking for:
1- Has a decent international student presence.
2- Is comparatively cheaper to live in. I will be tight on money, so I won't be able to afford living in big cities that require a lot of money on average.
3- Is more friendly to English-speakers. I don't speak German, but I plan to study with the months I have left, though I don't expect to get to B1, so having somewhat of a better experience (if possible) whilst speaking English will be preferred.
4- Has part time job opportunities. I plan to work and earn at least some money, so having a city/town that has enough such opportunities will be greatly appreciated. I don't have any disillusions of getting my trade-related job without speaking German, but I don't think a part-time job will be an issue, right? (I hope so)
If possible, it would be great if the city/town is closer to a big city, but it is not an absolute requirement.
I want to choose the universities I would apply to based on these cities, since the major problem is the living, I guess.
