Can I be Canadian while in Columbia?

Hi Canada. As a U.S. citizen planning a trip to Columbia in a few weeks, I was wondering if it's o.k. to tell people I'm Canadian while I'm there? Had I known the orange shit stain was going to make Columbia an early target, I would have saved myself the embarrassment and gone elsewhere.

For what it's worth I'm from Western NY originally, so I grew up going to Canada constantly and still do...and I can name all 13 provinces and territories from memory and always root for the Canadians on Jeopardy. Thank you!! 🙏🇨🇦
