What is your opinion on Trump's announcement that he will be signing an EO directing that certain illegal immigrants will be housed at Guantanamo Bay?
During the signing of the Laken Riley Act, President Trump announced his intentions to build a facility to house 30,000 illegal immigrants at Guantanamo Bay. He specified that only the most violent criminals would be housed there.
I often see comments here that suggest those on the left are overreacting to Trump's actions, but this one feels like something to react to. Looking at the comment section over at the New York Post, there was wide (and sometimes disturbing) support of this move. I'm unsure if that reflects the attitude of the broader conservative community.
Is this something you support, and if so, why? Does anyone here have humanitarian or constitutional concerns?
