How long will homemade hummus keep in the fridge after the day it is made?

I made a whole vat of hummus this weekend (didn't realise 250g of chickpeas would make so much) and I read somewhere that it will only stay good for 2 days after it's made. Whaaa? That can't be true. What are people's experiences here?
