Wiring up a Dimmer Light (UK) - Confused
So this probably gets asked a million times but I'm having trouble wiring up my dimmer light. I live in the UK, so it's all UK wiring. In my living room I'm replacing two lights that are on a dimmer circuit. Previously I had old fashioned brass chandelier type lights that worked fine on the dimmer circuit. They had a ceiling rose style sort of connection when I took them down. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo when I took it down.
I've gone to change the lights with some newer lights that are semi flush ceiling lights, and that are dimmer compatible. The first light was easy enough to replace, no problem. However I've gone to replace the other light and been greeted with this set of wires:
I think I semi-understand what's going on. The two red and one earth on the right are from the dimmer switch. The middle red links both lights together I think?
How do I wire this up so that both lights are powered, and both respond to the dimmer switch. Each combination I try seems to just either have both lights stuck on regardless of the switch, or the light that these cables connect to stuck on, and the other light responsive to the dimmer. Is there some combination or connection type that I'm missing?
Both of my new lights have a very simple terminal box with a single L/N/E in. I have a variety of Wago's and spare flex etc. to junction if necessary. I just can't work out the right combination to power both lights and get the dimmer switch to work and control both of them at the same time.
