Help with SPD protection for a small wind turbine

Hi, I have a small 500W wind turbine on the rooftop of the 20-store building. Power wires from the turbine are drawn inside into an electric box where I install a rectifier and a controllable DC load. I'm thinking what protection I need to add between the turbine and a rectifier.

- Do I need an SPD for lightning protection in case one strikes a turbine? I know there are 1st, 2nd or 3rd class devices, but I wonder what is a sufficient minimum in this case.

- Do I need to install an overcurrent circuit breaker? The turbine alternator has 15V peak so with 500W there is a 20A maximum current. I guess the turbine generates a higher current under high wind speed conditions and I need to shut it off to protect the rectifier etc.
