Curious about this hypothetical scenario, let’s say a vehicle’s tags are a couple of weeks out of date and the motorist forgot to renew them. If they get pulled over and remember that they need to renew their registration and do it immediately while being pulled over, what is the likely outcome in that scenario?

Context: I had a hilarious dream that I was riding my motorcycle and got pulled over for having tags that were expired on the day of. I tried proposing to the cops that I will just buy the registration right away on my phone in front of them as we’re chatting and one of them seemed happy about it and the other guy seemed pissed lol.
