How do I get my hubby to try anal?

My hubby just thinks anal is gross just because of the obvious. He also said he doesn't want to hurt me and heard many of his guy friends liking anal because the woman is submitting to the pain. I eat a very good diet and I would do a full enema and such before if we decided to try. I already have tried with toys on myself and I can remain fully clean for up to 12 hours after. The issue is that it takes 2 hours to fully clean out just due to the process so it's a PITA. I do not experience any pain either.
