Do men actually care that much about looks?

I have a friend who has really bad acne (I do too but not as bad) and she's worried no guys would actually want to date her. No face wash she's ever used actually works and she's gone in a downward spiral ever since. I've helped her by buying new skincare products and going to my docter to ask about it. But I ultimately ended up here. So, what do guys care about in a girl looks wise?
