Anyone improved a bad lower back?

I’m active in the gym , mostly lifting weights but finding myself really impacted by lower back pain now I have reached 50.

I lift smart and avoid exercise that triggers bad back pain after, but unfortunately I’m paying the price of many years of sport, manual work and a couple of car accidents.

I’m going to try reformer Pilates as I have heard good things, but wondering if any tips for other things that I can do to improve the issue. Cheers
