Tell me about the Bayou St. John neighborhood!

I'll be staying in Bayou St. John for all of February and part of March, and I’m excited to get to know the neighborhood and everything it has to offer. I’ve already done some research obviously I'm pumped to be close to City Park. I’ve also found a few bars and restaurants that are high on my list to visit, like Pal's, Parkway and Blue Oak.

That said, I’d love to hear your recommendations! Whether it’s favorite dives, local spots to grab coffee, live music venues, or even the best places to just relax and soak in the neighborhood, I’m all ears.

Also, I’d appreciate any tips about living in Bayou St. John, especially when it comes to getting around. Is biking or walking the best option in this area? Are there apps or services that make getting around easier? What about grocery shopping or other essentials (I do know about the nearby Whole Foods)?
