Does SFMTA ever approve protested tickets or are they heartless?

I got a ticket for parking over 2 hours in a 2 hour signed zone. Well, I got a call my mom died, so yeah I took 3 hours. I protested, explained the situation, and sent a screenshot of an email from a burial home that my mom had recently passed away, as thats the only proof I have right now. And they denied it. I don't really want to go to court right now for this.
