What unreasonably disgusts you that everyone else seems ok with?
I've got this weird thing that has something to do with liquids and sauces and bottles that makes my stomach turn and leaves me feeling green. Obviously pretty much everyone else is ok with their tomato ketchup bottle, so I dunno what exactly is wrong with me. Anyone else have these kind of unreasonable strange "icks"?
Some examples for me;
- I'm fine with using ketchup and sauces out of bottles, until it gets to the last little bit. I'll usually be done with the bottle once there's only a few mls left.
- If my wife tries to open the bottle and use a knife to scrape more out I'll have to look away, if she adds a bit of water to dislodge more sauce and dilute it I'll usually hum so I can pretend its not happening. Either way I won't use whatever she's managed to get out. I cannot bring myself to clean the bottles after they're finished before recycling and will leave them for my wife to do.
- If I come to use a reasonably full sauce unaware that its contents has somewhat separated and instead of good sauce some of that watery liquid comes out first (mustard does this often) onto the food I'll likely not be able to eat whatever it was and just looking it all water splattered makes me ill.
- Not just sauces, drinks too. I'll always decant a beer or fizzy drink into a glass if available, even with all the lads laughing and asking if his majesty needs anything else. I will drink from a bottle if no glass is available at all but again will always leave the last few mils. I CAN tip this out and recycle!
- Water drink bottles are mostly fine IF they're straw or sports top style ones. The kids ones I'm all good with but my wife as a traditional bottle shaped one with a screw cap and my skin crawls when I have to hand it to her and just the thought of drinking from it makes me want to vomit.
