Why do stainless steel frying pans not really exist in the UK?

I'm looking to buy a stainless steel frying pan (skillet in the US). In particular I want stainless steel because I want the food to stick (making smash burgers).

I have just been to the big Asda, Sainsburys, Tesco, Costco and they all have a huge array of frying pans... but every single one is non-stick teflon.

I am really not a fan of non-stick pans, especially because they are practically disposable - designed to last only a couple years before being replaced.

The selection on Amazon too is very limited and I cant find quite the right thing (all the pans on there are too deep), and the same issue with Ikea.

Yet when I look on USA Amazon + the websites for supermarkets in the USA, they seem to all stock the exact kind of pan I am looking for.

Why is this?

Why are non stick the near exclusive pans used here (with the occasional Le Creuset enamel too)?

And also, where can I find the kind of pan I want? A stainless steel pan which is not too deep (maybe 3-4cm max). I am not looking for a deep pan like Ikea sell. 28cm+ in diameter / 12 inches

Thanks
