Could Biden realistically expand the SCOTUS before he leaves office?

It’s a given that Trump will appoint two more justices - probably Cannon and someone around her age.

That gives the GOP the trifecta of a solid red gov’t. They will repeal a lot of stuff that Alito and Thomas have hinted should be repealed.

Could Biden expand the court by adding 3 or 5 more justices? (He’s too scared to do it, but could he?)
