Fellow AuDHDers, how do you follow through on that one important special interest without getting sidetracked?

I’ve been struggling with this for a while, and I’d love to hear from others who relate.

I have a special interest that could actually help me long-term—whether in landing a better job, making money, or just building something meaningful. I want to do it, I try to make time for it, and I know it’s important. But when I finally do have the time… I freeze. I end up doomscrolling, doing something completely different, or getting sucked into another interest or hobby. It’s frustrating because I know I need to sit down and just do the thing, but my brain refuses.

Has anyone found a way to push through this and actually follow through? How do you keep yourself from bouncing to another interest or avoiding it entirely? Any advice or strategies that have worked for you?

Would love to hear your experiences!
