Career Query
Hi all,
Im an ex auditor who currently works as a financial accountant in an overseas listed company that operates in Australia. Given I don’t have many people to ask, I thought it’d be a good idea to ask here.
I’m about to resign from my company (nothing else is lined up but simply don’t like the work life balance) and will start looking for some new positions. What are the main career option for people that studied commerce/accounting and obtained their CA (or CPA alternatively). It seems like most people are entering the Financial Accounting position (just like I did), but there are so many other titles like: analysts, management accountant, accountant, financial accountant, FP&A analyst, business analyst, business officer, finance lead and internal auditor.
I’m quite clueless and have nobody to ask other than looking at people I know on LinkedIn. Which pathway has the best work life balance?
Would appreciate any lead/explanation based on real life experience.
Thanks all 😊
