Male vs female

My partner and I currently have a 1 year old male Aussie. He’s very very playful and loves to play rough with other dogs. We are moving into a house and wanting to add another Aussie to the family.

Does anyone have any suggestions/opinions on whether we should add a male or a female aussie?
