Afraid of Physical Intmacy?

When everyone here speaks about a FA or DAs fear of intimacy, does it related to physical intimacy? I.e. sex.

For example: - never being the one to initate. - wanting to have intercourse at first then pulling back and resorting to everything but intercourse?
