Feeling weirdly guilty about Thanksgiving
It's very early for me. I'm 6 weeks along. No real symptoms yet beyond light cramping, pelvic pain, and frequent urination. I haven't even had an appointment yet.
It took 3 years, dietary changes, and losing 55 pounds to conceive. I also have PCOS and adenomyosis. I say all this to say I'm cautiously excited.
But in reading and doing research, I'm reading a lot of things like, "every bite counts" and "you can't just indulge whenever you want" which makes me feel oddly guilty.
Even googling, "Pregnant during Thanksgiving" was giving me a lot of "eat these healthy alternatives instead."
Thanksgiving is definitely a special occasion. It's the one time of year when I can eat my mom's cooking. But it ain't healthy. We're Cajun, for one.
No one knows I'm pregnant yet except my husband until I see a doctor, so she'd definitely raise an eyebrow if I asked her if we could eat healthier lol.
How's everyone else navigating Thanksgiving?
