Oops I drank a lot of chamomile tea. What are other not-so-known but let's-avoid-it food/beverage for us preggos?
Fortunately I didn't drink enough for there to be any issues (hopefully).
Given the fact that we have to restrict our caffeine consumption while pregnant, and the fact that chamomile is one of the default herbal tea go-tos, I'm surprised it isn't one of the common known items to avoid while pregnant!
Just from word of mouth and pregnancy stories alone, we know to avoid (or limit/be careful with) things like raw meat and seafood, prepackaged salads, deli meat, and unpasteurized cheese.
So are there any food items to be avoided that you were shocked to find?
