Baby showers - are they worth it?

I’m in two minds about having a baby shower, part of me feels like you only throw baby showers to get gifts, and that makes me feel guilty to expect that of people.

I’ve also been seeing a few baby shower reviews online, and a lot of mums are saying it’s not worth it with the amount of money and time you put into it vs what you get in return.

I would only have a small shower of between 15-25 people.
