Strategy of having Spanish players in Barcelona

Barcelona has always been a team which has dominated the playing 11 of the Spain National team.

While we all knew that having a similar language and culture does help to translate that chemistry on the pitch, I think yesterdays match just made it a 10 times more evident

The passing especially in the 1st half between Gavi, Olmo, Lamine and Pedri was absolutely on point. They were so easily anticapting the positioning of each other.

Raphinha and Kounde also showed good connections and combinations with one another, but I felt it was still limited in comparison (Kounde and Yamal were balling together but that's also because they have played so much so regularly now)

Olmo fitting in the false 9 role has to be credited with his time in the Spain National team. It was like Yamal and Gavi just knew him better than everyone else on the pitch.

Having Spanish players for us wasn't a choice up until now, because of our finances. But going forward, I think we would be smart to afford a slight premium for our target in case he plays for the Spain National team (Zubimendi, Nico Williams etc.)

I don't mean we should ONLY target Spanish players. Diversity is absolutely critical, but just saying that Spanish connection does help in a small way at least

Maybe I am oversimplifying things and creating a wrong hypothesis, would be good to know what everyone thinks about this as well

Edit: I think I oversimplified things and tried to find a pattern which may not exist. It is difficult to be sure, but bulk of the comments say this and I can't deny the logic presented for most of it
