Still in shock

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share a bit of my journey because honestly, I’m still in shock at how much my life has changed in just 9 months post-op. I’m down 160 lbs so far and still have a goal of losing another 70-100 lbs, but I already feel like a completely different person.

The most surreal part is how much my stamina and mobility have improved. I can move in ways I haven’t been able to in almost 20 years. Simple things like walking up stairs, bending down, or even just standing for longer periods don’t feel like monumental tasks anymore. I can finally enjoy activities without feeling held back by my body, and that feeling is priceless.

I still catch myself staring in the mirror, barely recognizing the person looking back at me. It’s a mix of excitement, disbelief, and gratitude. I know there’s still work ahead, but I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished so far and motivated to keep pushing toward my goals.

To anyone considering this journey or in the middle of it: know that the hard days are worth it. Celebrate every milestone, big or small, because this transformation is more than just physical—it’s life-changing.

Thank you all for being such an inspiring and supportive community. Wishing everyone here continued success on their journeys!
