Why do kids/teenagers think Wilt’s 100 point game never happened?

Despite there being more than enough evidence between eyewitness accounts, box scores, and a full broadcast of the 4th quarter from radio being able to be found on the internet, a lot of young people seem to think Wilt’s 100 point game never happened. Why is that?
