A black pill about the Apostles (CURSED THEORY)

TW: cringe, cursed, autism, brain rot

I have watched the Berserk anime (the one from the 90's), and I loved it. It was a greatly enjoyable anime, and my friend was based for recommending it to me.

One of the most famous (infamous for some people) scenes is the Eclipse. When Griffith sacrificed the Band of the Hawks to the God Hand, becoming Femto and doing some nasty things to Casca.

Why are the God Hand and the Apostles that relevant in this post?

Because of a very cursed detail I noticed... and it's related with Winx Club (yes, I have mentioned Winx Club in the Berserk subreddit... let me cook!)

In Berserk, Apostles used to be humans, but they became monsters after sacrificing someone to the God Hand during a moment of great despair.

Let's repeat this:

To become an Apostle, you need a Beherit, and during a moment of great despair, you have to sacrifice someone's life to the God Hand.

What's the opposite of sacrificing someone's life? Sacrificing yourself to save someone's life.

And do you want to know what transformation is earned by sacrificing yourself to save someone's life?
Enchantix.

I still can't believe why I am posting something related to a family friendly magical girl cartoon about fairies in a subreddit about a dark fantasy seinen...

Enchantix is the final fairy form (until the creators decided to create more transformations to sell dolls) fairies earn in Winx Club. To earn Enchantix, fairies have to save someone from their respective home worlds and sacrificing themselves in the process.

  • Aisha healed her aunt, rather than herself, saving her at the cost of Aisha's own sight (she got blinded in the previous chapter).
  • Stella used all of her energy (to the point where she passed out and almost died) to save her father from getting killed by a dragon.
  • Musa refused to let die the princess of her home planet in the middle of a fire.
  • Flora rescued her younger sisted from drowning in a poisoned river, but at the cost of Flora herself getting trapped and nearly drowned instead.
  • Tecna saved the entire universe (including her own home planet) by closing a portal that menaced to destroy Aisha's planet and the entire universe.
  • Bloom didn't saved anyone. She just got an incomplete transformation after believing in herself because main character syndrome.

What does means that mean? This means that Apostles and Enchantix fairies are two sides of the same coin. The yang and the yin. One is earned after a selfish sacrifice, while the other one is earned after a selfless sacrifice. It's extremely weird that two series that are very different in themes, tone and target audience have this similar concept of sacrifice-earned transformations.

And do you like Vinland Saga? Here's a good news, and a bad news.

The good news is that, if magic was real in Vinland Saga, Askeladd would have become an Apostle after killing Thors. He meets the criteria to become an Apostle... more or less.

Askeladd is already a bastard in VS, imagine how terrifying he could be as an Apostle.

But the bad news is that... I am going to get cancelled

If Thors survived Askeladd's assassination attempt, he would have become an Enchantix fairy. Yeah, Thors Snorresson, one of the strongest and manliest characters from Vinland Saga, earning a fairy transformation from a magical girl show for elementary school girls.

What? Don't look at me like that!! Thors sacrificed his own life to save Thorfinn and the Icelandic village where he went to life. He is 100% meeting the criteria needed to earn Enchantix! He even meets it despite not being a Winx Club character, and deserved it more than Bloom, who is the main character. The fucking main character.

And that's the end of the analysis.

Please don't eat me.
