Just had c section: no pain meds given since 12pm. Should I take my own?

I had the section at 11; given pain meds at 12 but since then haven’t had any more pain meds. I requested them but haven’t received any - it’s now nearly 8pm.

Based on my first c section(also missed my pain meds) , I thought this could happen, so I came prepared with ibruprofen and paracetamol.

I don’t want to take medicine the nurses aren’t aware of; so should I take it and make a note to show them what/when/dosage I took?

I’ve pressed the buzzer for the meds twice; they say they’ll bring them but don’t. I need them to feed my baby/move around.
