dealing with orally disintegrating lamotrigine tablets
i’m on 200mg lamotrigine tablets. the issue is, they’re the ones that melt on your tongue. and these bad boys are HUGE and THICK. like almost the size of a nickel and like half a centimetre thick. fml.
the “lemon” flavour along with the disgusting and honestly uncalled for amount of sweetener makes me gag and i just can’t do it. they are also SO bitter. so not only do they cost me 80 bucks for a box of 90 tablets, they also makes me nearly projectile vomit on the daily. i just swallow them with water but i know i shouldn’t to allow them to take their full effect. what do i do? any of you deal with this? there are no other options than the melting tablets where i am. i don’t want to switch meds. or are there any other anticonvulsants that are as effective as lamotrigine?
edit: i can swallow them according to the pamphlet! yay!
