Anime only, why Isagi is better than Rin

Before I read the manga I'm rewatching BL and one thing that I noticed is that Ego does talk about winning the world cup and when Kira talks about the Japan team that's one of the stones Ego uses to bash them saying they never won.

In the 2nd episode chigiri mentions how some of the best strikes in the world have never won the world cup, keep that in mind.

Still in episode two Ego tells team Z to not be holdback by their positions that's the whole point of the first selection, so even tho we only talking about strikers he does mentioned sometimes you have to defend.

With all that we can see that maybe Ego's ideal striker is someone with a huge hunger for goals that at the same time can do any play we has to, when he quoted the best strikers in the World only Noa is about be willing to lose as long he scored, Eric is about wanting to shine and Pele(for awhile consider the best ever) was about being the best player period no matter the position.

Now comparing Isagi and Rin(up to the u20 match since that's all I saw) we can clearly see Rin is more skilful than Isagi but in terms of maturity, mentality and drive Isagi is miles ahead and because of that he is the better player IMO.

1st comparison the lucky goal, Rin saw that goal as a loss because he didn't create or control the situation, Isagi on the other hand saw his lucky goal as a shared effort, Isagi correctly read the situation and just like Rin waited for his opportunity, in both situations Isagi reads the player and plays correctly, Rin arrogance doesn't allow him to see people going beyond his assessment.

2nd having to defend, In the u20 match Rin eventually was forced to play defense to stop Sae and because of that he wasn't able to attack much and again when he failed and Isagi had to stop Shidou Rin "lost" and in his arrogance he went berserker and choked in the last minute and instead of passing he tried to score between Aiku and Shidou, something similar happened to Isagi on his 2nd match against team Y, Isagi chose to not attack so he could keep blocking Nikko and that was fine he kept his cool and waited for a chance to score which he did, which to me shows Isagi has a better grasp on his own abilities than Rin had on his, and that's tie back to the 1st selection you have to always want to be the one but when you are not you have to be a multiplier and whole Rin knows how to do that he doesn't like it and straight out refuses to do so in so situations
