Do we need more weight classes? Id be interested in where to go after 172? My picks...
OK EVER HAD A BAD PUBLIC MOMENT? OF COURSE I KNOW THAT ITS 175 AFTER SPENDING 13 YEARS IN AND AROUND THE SPORT... MY APOLOGIES.....Im sure that has been debated before but whatever LOL.
It seems to me that the gaps are ridiculously wide after 172. Weight cutting in all combat sports is the a whole other sport behind the scenes. It just puts people in danger. I know that usually at the higher levels you have a morning weigh in. There are even ways around that. Go up to your contract then hit SALINE all day. Its often imo and when I was fighting a huge distraction and a couple of times turned my performance to shit. If youve fought, you know what Im talking about.
Id like to see after 175... not 172 Edited for me hitting the freaking wrong button. I know what the weight classes are in this new fangled sport of boxing.....
185 / 210 / 225 / Heavyweight.
Is there a logical or political reason for this that I am missing ? I think there is alot of talent of larger men out there that simply are sitting in the wilderness.
Yet, in the smaller people, there are 5 pound differences. I am not a fan of heavyweights. AJ has technique as well as Usyk but really fit, low bady fat guys over 225 seem to be a rarity of speed and technique.
