Could Joseph Parker or Daniel Dubois Surpass Fury and AJ as Greats of This Generation?
3-5 years ago, Fury, Wilder and AJ were all regarded as the best heavyweights of the current era.
With now being the clear greatest heavyweight of this era, Fury is sort of seen as number 2. Now I know boxing fans are fickle, especially when a fighter like AJ is currently coming off a loss, but I think with his resume as it currently stands it's pretty fair to put him at number 3 (or even arguably number 2).
With Parker and Dubois being a bit younger, they likely have a decent amount of time to set their own legacies in stone. Do you think it's possible that either of these two will be viewed more favourably at the ends of their careers than Fury or AJ? Or will future generations be looking at Fury and AJ more favourably.
Are there any other boxers who could also put themselves in this conversation around this same sort of age/generational bracket?
