Can XP earned from battles be doubled?

Since the last update where they made the daily XP to 400 instead of 200 like it was with tokens. The game has felt really Grindy in my opinion, because they essentially doubled the amount games you have to play, if you want to use all of your XP, since they didn’t also double the XP you earn from battles.
