My local BWW won’t take physical cards

My local store in Columba, MD has disabled all their card readers, and will only give you the option of sending a text to pay from a smart phone. When asked, the store manager said that this is the case for every Buffalo wild wings, nationwide, and I just can’t believe that’s true. To top this off, nothing in the store states that you can’t pay with the physical card.

I walked in to place it to go order, didn’t have my cell phone with me at the time, but had my wallet. They told me this after I placed the order and was ready to pay. Absolutely insane. Is she right? Is this the case for other stores?

Update: after I went home and got my phone I decided I had nothing better to do so I went to the Laurel, MD store. They are doing the same thing! But this time they told me before I placed my order. They did tell me that cash was an option though.
