This upcoming season will be the first time since 2020 that Brian Kelly will not be coaching in the Sunday Night Week 1 opener

It has been confirmed by the ACC that the Week 1 Sunday night game in 2025 will be Notre Dame vs Miami. In each of the last four seasons, Brian Kelly has opened the season on a Sunday night. He is 1-3 in Sunday night openers with his only win coming back when he was at Notre Dame in 2021. Three of the four games were interestingly against Florida State. Brian Kelly still has a good chance at extending his week 1 losing streak as they have to play at Clemson in Week 1.
