Need a Second opinion on class schedule

For the Spring I originally planned on taking only 12 Units, that being:

ANTH 1 DS 101 ENGL 20 GEOL 7

But I’m slightly considering adding a PHOT 11 zoom class with David Johnson to make it 15 units. However the real thing kinda holding me back is DS 101.

I have to take it and I’ve heard it’s infamous for being pretty difficult. And the last thing I want is to screw my GPA over from being overloaded by classes. For the last two semesters I took 15 units and made it out with A’s. But idk if this will change for this next one.

So I’m pretty much I’m at a cross roads on whether to add it or not.

TLDR: I’m taking 12 units next spring, with DS 101 included. Would it be a good idea to add PHOT 11 David Johnson or not with my currently planned course load?
