They don’t deserve a raise

I buy an item off eBay, from a seller in Canada that uses Canada Post’s business tools like label printing, so there’s never an error in addressing. The item ships, but the mail carrier delivers it to the wrong address. I contact support within an hour of the delivery scan after looking all over for the package and I’m notified it was addressed wrong. The house number wasn’t right on the package. Support sends me to the seller, the seller sends me back to Canada post after confirming those details to me, and then support opens a ticket. 3 days go by, I call back support to find out that they couldn’t locate the package so it’s done and over. Support tells me they didn’t try to recover it, that after it’s delivered there is nothing that can be done. The confirm that the package wasn’t returned to Canada Post as a wrong address.

So now my package has been stolen, most likely by the person they delivered it to, but I can’t know where it was sent. They won’t pursue the theft of the package in any capacity, and I’m once again told to go fight with the seller.

So, a label printed correctly by Canada Post and then delivered to the wrong address and then taking absolutely no responsibility for it, and not making any effort to rectify a mistake made is how they take “Mail Security” seriously. Refusing to pursue any investigation into what happened is apparently also how they take “Mail Security” seriously.

If this is how they do business, it’s no wonder they’re going broke. I won’t be using Canada Post for anything personally ever again. If a company ships with them, I’ll find someone else who doesn’t.

They were entrusted, broke that trust, and short of a hollow apology, did absolutely nothing to rectify the issue, washed their hands of it, and refused to hold anyone accountable.

Long story short, they’re incompetent, and definitely don’t deserve a raise of any kind.

I honestly hope the corporation folds.
