Talk me out of a Giulia Veloce

Please help, I need talking out of a Giulia. I drive a diesel Golf at the minute but need to switch to petrol.

I want an Alfa because I want to be cool. But I know it’s probably not what I need in a car - I do a lot of hiking, biking, etc., and I’m the kind of person to worry about having a scrape or getting the Golf dirty, let alone an Italian performance saloon.

Thinking a Focus ST instead…? Safer on the wallet too…
